Chapter 366

Nathan's lips curled into a wicked grin, leaving Evelyn momentarily speechless.

After dinner, Evelyn returned to their room to find Nathan lounging in an armchair by the window, one leg crossed over the other, his fingers idly tracing the edges of a document.

"What is it you wanted to show me?" Evelyn approached and settled beside him.

Nathan handed her the file, his voice smooth. "The answers you've been looking for."

Evelyn frowned, taking the papers. Her eyes scanned the contents quickly.

Property of N?vel(D)ra/ma.Org.

The images were photocopies, slightly faded but still clear. Then, one photo seized her attention—a security still from a reflexology center.

The woman in heavy makeup was unmistakably Vivian, deep in conversation with three others.

"This is... Vivian?"

"Yes." Nathan's tone was calm. "I had someone retrieve the footage from the Underground Freeway. These are the people who took her."

Evelyn studied the figures—two men and a woman. The woman wore a mask, her presence unsettlingly enigmatic.

Another photo showed a location near the Vanderbilt estate. This time, only one man stood with Vivian.

His face was obscured by a hat and mask, as if he knew the intersection was under surveillance.

"So, this man is one of the two who took Vivian?"

Evelyn's expression darkened. Though Vivian had confessed to orchestrating Richard’s accident, the true mastermind had manipulated her—forcing Evelyn to leave Nathan by implicating Theodore.

They had exploited Theodore’s recent meeting with her father, making it seem like he was responsible.

But Vivian didn’t know about Evelyn’s strained relationship with Theodore. Only one person would dare use him like this.

Was that woman also behind the Winters incident?

Noticing her expression, Nathan pulled her close, pressing a kiss to her forehead.

"Zoe, I think you already know who she is, don’t you?"

Evelyn tilted her head, lips pursed. "She’s helped your family for years. Not to mention, she’s your childhood friend. Aren’t you worried I’ll confront her after this?"

Nathan chuckled. "Are you jealous?"

"I’m not." She huffed.

His arms tightened around her, pulling her onto his lap. "You are. She met me first, and my family adores her."

Evelyn looped her arms around his neck, defiant. "Then I should take comfort in being the first to sleep with you, shouldn’t I?"

Nathan’s eyes gleamed with amusement.

His little wife was growing bolder by the day.

He cupped her chin, smirking. "Oh? And how can you be so sure you were the first?"

Evelyn fell silent. Instantly, Nathan regretted his words.

Would she kick him out now?

But then, her cheeks flushed as she muttered, "If you’d been with other women before, you wouldn’t have been so... inexperienced that night."

Nathan’s expression darkened dangerously.

Before she could react, he hauled her up and tossed her onto the bed.

"Are you saying I was bad that night?" His voice was low, a devilish smirk playing on his lips.

"Then I’ll just have to prove you wrong tonight."

He wouldn’t let her go, no matter how much she begged.

By the time dawn approached, Evelyn’s voice was hoarse, her body limp as if every bone had melted away.
