Chapter 52
Nathan Goldmann Sr. had initially been a devoted admirer of Victoria Knowles. His infatuation had driven him to acquire Royal Crown with an exorbitant sum, all for the sake of bringing her home.
But he wasn’t the only one enchanted by her. Adrian Boucher’s father had also fallen under her spell—a scandal that had fueled gossip for years.
"Mr. Goldmann, what an honor to have you here," greeted Mr. Weatherford, the director of Royal Crown, with a practiced smile.
"Didn’t you sign two children? Where are they?" Nathan’s tone was casual, but his gaze was sharp.
Mr. Weatherford hesitated before answering, "They’ve been securing endorsement deals ever since their magazine feature with Adrian."
Nathan’s eyes narrowed. "Which company?"
"An advertiser under Snowke."
Once he had the location, Nathan wasted no time.
At the shoot, the children’s manager, Angela, stood by, overseeing the session. Adrian had personally introduced her to Liam and Daisy, and their rapid rise—even before their official debut—spoke volumes about their potential.
Liam and Daisy, dressed in coordinated outfits, flawlessly executed the director’s instructions, earning praise from the entire crew. Their chemistry was undeniable, their professionalism beyond their years.
When Nathan arrived, the set fell into stunned silence.
Daisy turned, her eyes lighting up as she skipped toward him. "Mister, what are you doing here?"
He ruffled her hair, grinning. "I came to see you."
Angela’s jaw nearly dropped.
Mr. Goldmann himself? And why do they look so much like him?
Liam approached as well, and the resemblance was impossible to ignore. No one would doubt they were his children.
Nathan studied them. "Want to grab a meal after this? I think I owe you one."
Daisy beamed. "Yes, please!"
Liam shot her a warning glance but relented at her excitement.
"Mr. Goldmann, but they—" Angela started, unsure how to handle the situation.
Nathan cut her off. "Tell them I’m taking them out. I’ll return them after."
At an upscale restaurant, the server presented two platters of Australian lobster. Daisy bounced in her seat, barely containing her excitement.
Liam rolled up her sleeves before expertly cracking open the shell for her.
Nathan watched, intrigued. "Your mother taught you that?"
Liam nodded. "She loves lobster. Just like Daisy."
He carefully placed the tender meat on Daisy’s plate. She swung her legs happily, ready to devour her meal.
Nathan rested his chin on his hand, studying them. Whoever their mother was, she had raised them impeccably.
"Who is Sophia to you?"
Daisy scooped up a bite of lobster and blinked up at him. "Our godmother."
Liam kicked her under the table.
Realizing her slip, Daisy grinned. "Why do you ask?"
