Chapter 7

"Madam Natalie, we're here for the audition!" Daisy lifted her head, her sparkling eyes twinkling like tiny constellations.

Natalie inhaled deeply, steadying her pounding heart.

How could such adorable children possibly belong to Nathan Goldmann? Knowing him, there's no way he could have produced such charming little angels.

She crouched down, gently ruffling their hair. "What are your names?"

"I'm Daisy!"

"And I'm Liam."

The two answered in perfect unison.

Natalie was utterly enchanted by their cuteness.

Forget their charm—they're absolutely stunning. If they were in front of a camera…

Snapping out of her daze, she stood and called out to her team. "Everyone, hurry! Get these two little models prepped and styled—now!"

She could already picture the breathtaking results.

Meanwhile, the Maybach pulled up outside Goldmann Tower. The driver signaled the waiting bodyguards to clear a path through the crowd, forming two disciplined lines.

Nathan stepped out, his long strides carrying him swiftly through the lobby.

Across the building, Natalie had just finished shooting a few test shots. Without any edits, she immediately sent two raw photos to Oliver.

Oliver slowed his pace, pulling out his phone. His eyes widened as he zoomed in on the images.

"Mr. Goldmann!" he called, catching up.

Nathan barely glanced at him as he stepped into his private elevator. "What is it?"

Oliver handed over his phone. "You need to see this."

Nathan's gaze darkened as he studied the screen.

He rarely spent more than a minute looking at anything on his phone—but this time, he stared for three full minutes.

"Natalie sent these. The 'Young Faces' brand team found these two child models. They… resemble you."

Upon closer inspection, the boy’s eyes were identical to Nathan’s. Both children shared his striking features—especially the boy.

Nathan’s brow furrowed as he returned the phone. "Where are they now?"

"Still in the studio."

Without hesitation, Nathan pressed the button for the photography floor.

For reasons he couldn’t explain, he needed to see them.

Meanwhile, Caleb sat at his computer, hacking into Goldmann Tower’s surveillance system. He zoomed in on Nathan heading toward the studio and immediately called Liam.

Liam’s smartwatch buzzed. He discreetly stepped aside. "Caleb, what’s the update?"

"Nathan’s coming for you. Get Daisy to approach him—and don’t forget to grab his hair!"

"Got it."

Liam whispered the plan to Daisy, who nodded eagerly. "Roger that!"

Caleb smirked at his screen.

No risk, no reward. Once we get Nathan’s DNA, we’ll finally know if he’s our father.

Nathan arrived at the studio, and Natalie greeted him with surprise. "Mr. Goldmann! What brings you here?"

Oliver cut in before Nathan could respond. "Where are the child models?"

Natalie pointed. "Over there."

The two were perched on a chair, curiously examining the camera lens.

Nathan approached them.

"Daisy, Liam," Natalie called. They turned—only to find Nathan standing behind them.

Both tilted their heads up, meeting his gaze. Instinctively, Liam stepped in front of Daisy, his expression protective.

His frown mirrored Nathan’s perfectly.

"Who are you?" Liam demanded, though he already knew the answer.

Nathan narrowed his eyes. "Who are you?"

"Is that any of your business?"

Oliver and Natalie exchanged nervous glances.

This kid has nerves of steel.

Daisy tugged Liam’s sleeve, feigning fear. "Liam, I wanna go home."

Liam patted her head reassuringly. "Don’t worry. I’m here."

A flicker of amusement crossed Nathan’s eyes.

Do I really look that intimidating?

Softening his tone, he said, "I own this company. Where are your parents?"

Oliver and Natalie nearly gasped—Nathan had never spoken so gently before.

Daisy answered shyly, "Mommy’s busy. And we don’t know where Daddy is."

Nathan fell silent—until Daisy suddenly stretched out her arms. "Mr. Handsome, I want a hug!"

The entire room froze.

This child just asked Nathan Goldmann to pick her up?!

Liam pulled her back. "Daisy, Mommy said strangers could be dangerous."

"But he doesn’t look dangerous," Daisy protested.

The next second, Nathan lifted her effortlessly into his arms.

Everyone’s jaws dropped.

Daisy wrapped her tiny arms around his neck, gazing at him with wide, innocent eyes. "Mr. Handsome, your eyes are just like Liam’s!"

Nathan had never held a child before. The sensation was… unexpectedly warm.

This girl… She reminds me of someone.

"What’s your mother’s name?" he asked quietly.
