Chapter 316
“What are you waiting for? Take him down!”
The sharp command cut through the tension. Arabella and Genevieve spun around to see Isabella Montgomery watching them from a short distance.
Her voice snapped them into action. Genevieve immediately sliced through the ropes binding Arabella with the dagger.
Harrison Winslow writhed on the floor in agony. He struggled to rise and retaliate, but Genevieve delivered a brutal kick to his backside.
“That’s for me! Seven years of marriage wasted on your lies!”
“Argh!” Harrison crashed back onto the concrete.
Genevieve then aimed a fierce kick at his face. “And that’s for my daughter! You robbed her of a father and broke her heart!”
“Stop! I’ll kill you both!” Harrison roared, yanking the dart from his arm and lunging at Genevieve.
Her reflexes were too slow. The dart tip hovered inches from her throat.
Arabella tackled him, sinking her teeth deep into his hand. “Run!” she muffled through clenched teeth.
“You’re dead!” Harrison raised the dart toward Arabella’s skull.
A surge of adrenaline empowered Genevieve. She drove her knee straight into his groin.
A deafening scream echoed through the space.
Harrison collapsed, curling into a fetal position. Veins bulged across his forehead.
The women exchanged a fiery glance. They unleashed a synchronized barrage of kicks.
“Filthy cheater! Disgusting pig! Die!”
Every strike released years of pent-up fury. Each impact symbolized their wasted sacrifices.
This was their closure.
Harrison’s cries faded as he lost consciousness.
Isabella observed from the shadows, a satisfied smile touching her lips. This was how women should reclaim their power. Cheaters deserved nothing less.
She summoned Maxwell Carter and Penelope Sinclair to handle the cleanup. Harrison was dragged away.
Penelope would escort both women home.
Under the building’s harsh lights, Arabella approached Isabella. “Thank you, Ms. Montgomery. But I won’t be returning to the company tonight. Genevieve and I need time together.”
Isabella nodded. “Take the night. Remember, the event starts at ten tomorrow morning.”
“I won’t let you down,” Arabella promised.
As she turned to leave, Arabella paused. “Ms. Montgomery…your hair…there’s a patch missing…”
Genevieve’s eyes widened as she stared at Nathaniel Blackwood’s trousers. “Mr. Blackwood…your zipper…”
A clump of hair was tangled in the metal teeth.
Only one explanation existed. Isabella’s cheeks flushed crimson.
