Chapter 358
Who would have guessed that Margaret Whitmore was also a devoted fan of the Jules skincare line?
Victoria Kensington’s eyes narrowed sharply.
“One more task,” she said coldly. “Get me the formulas for Jules. I don’t care what it takes.”
If customers were buying the products, all Victoria needed was one authentic Jules item.
She could have it analyzed in a lab, reverse-engineered, and reproduced.
Rex gave a firm nod. “Understood, Madam.”
After leaving the village, Alexander Whitmore summoned his assistant.
“From today onward, send fresh flowers and breakfast to Isabella Montgomery every morning.
And you are no longer authorized to manage my social media accounts.”
It had been Oliver sending those messages to Isabella all along.
No wonder she thought his efforts were hollow.
Isabella wasn’t the same woman she was five years ago.
She couldn’t be easily deceived anymore.
Alexander knew he had to step up his game.
Somehow, he found himself caring more about winning her back.
His mind was set on a single objective: he must reclaim her heart.
The next morning, the doorbell rang at Isabella’s home.
Nathaniel Blackwood woke instantly.
Seeing Isabella still asleep, he slipped quietly out of bed.
He descended the stairs and opened the front door.
No one was there—only a elegant box sat on the doorstep.
A purple card rested on top, bearing three words:
[Remorse. Regret. Redemption.]
Inside was a carefully prepared breakfast set.
Nathaniel’s expression darkened. Alexander.
So he was finally making a real effort to pursue Isabella.
His gaze turned icy. “Deliver this to Victoria Kensington,” he instructed the bodyguards waiting in the shadows.
One of them hesitated. “Sir?”
Alexander had sent this for Isabella, but Nathaniel wanted it redirected to Victoria?
They felt Nathaniel’s intense stare and immediately complied, taking the box without another word.
As Nathaniel closed the door, he noticed Oliver Blackwood standing on the staircase, already awake.
Nathaniel frowned and spoke in a low voice. “This stays between us.”
“Don’t worry, Daddy! I won’t tell Mommy!” Oliver chirped, fully cooperative.
“This is the perfect way to deal with that jerk’s gifts!”
Sending a gift meant for Isabella directly to her rival?
It was downright hilarious.
He could only imagine how furious Victoria would be when she received it.
What would she even do with the breakfast?
And how would Alexander react when he found out?
An idea sparked in Oliver’s mind.
He hurried over to Nathaniel. “Daddy, look! We have to handle this too!”
He held up Isabella’s phone.
Alexander had already sent several messages:
[Isabella, whether you believe me or not, I truly regret everything.]
[No matter how deeply I hurt you five years ago, I will love you even more fiercely now.]
[Be with me. I will spend the rest of my life making it up to you.]
[I can help you put Rex Walker behind bars. But not Victoria.]
[I don’t love her anymore. But she grew up with us. She’s your sister, which makes her family to me too. I won’t harm her, but I won’t love her either.]
[Isabella, give me one last chance. No one will ever love you the way I do.]
Nathaniel’s eyes turned cold as he read.
With a few quick taps, he deleted all the unread messages.
Then he installed a stealth program on the device.
From now on, every message from Alexander would be automatically erased—without a trace.
Alexander would never know.
Isabella would never see them.
Oliver bounced with glee. “Daddy, you’re amazing! So clever!”
But Nathaniel’s gaze remained sharp and unsatisfied.
This was only the beginning.
