Chapter 365

Victoria stepped out of Bayview Apartments.

Harrison trailed behind her persistently.

"Stop following me," she snapped coldly. "If you truly want to help, just leave me alone."

She slid into her car and instructed the driver. "Take me to Kaiser Hospital."

Kaiser Hospital was Westchester's most exclusive private women's clinic.

Harrison watched her car disappear down the street. Anguish twisted his features.

The child... Could it be his?

But what could he possibly do? He was merely an assistant. Powerless. Useless.

Inside the car, Victoria examined the recording device in her palm. A vicious, triumphant smile curled her lips.

She picked up her phone and sent a text to Eleanor.

Mother, I'm terrified. My heart is shattered. But I have no other choice. I will fight to survive this.

Next, she texted Margaret Whitmore.

Aunt Margaret, I longed to join your family. I dreamed of keeping this baby. But... I'm so sorry.

She powered off her phone immediately after sending the messages.

At Montgomery Manor...

Eleanor was reviewing documents when the message arrived. She shot up from her chair, panic seizing her. She frantically called Victoria's number.

A robotic voice answered. "The number you have dialed is currently unavailable."

"Richard!" she screamed, her voice trembling. "Richard! Get in here! Send someone to find Victoria! Now!"

At the same time, Margaret Whitmore received her message. While she had never particularly liked the girl, Victoria had gifted her a Jules skincare set just days prior. Margaret had failed to acquire the sold-out product herself. Victoria's thoughtful gift had impressed her friends, elevating Victoria in Margaret's eyes.

Concerned by the ominous text, Margaret immediately ordered an investigation.

Within three minutes, both women received identical reports.

Ms. Kensington is pregnant with a male heir. Alexander Whitmore is forcing her to terminate the pregnancy. She suffers from a coagulopathy. The procedure could be fatal...

The news was a thunderbolt from a clear sky.

Eleanor swayed, her legs buckling beneath her.

Richard caught her, his voice urgent. "Get the car! We're going to the hospital! Now! Contact the Whitmores! Tell them to meet us there!"

Theodore Montgomery was incensed. "What is Alexander thinking? Bring him to me! He will explain this outrage! We will not let this stand!"

Though Victoria often disappointed him, she was still his granddaughter. His own blood. How dare Alexander treat her this way?

The entire Montgomery family erupted in fury.

At the Whitmore estate...

Alexander's parents were equally stunned. Victoria was carrying a Whitmore heir! A boy!

How could this pregnancy be terminated? The Whitmores were already on shaky ground with the Montgomerys. If Victoria, with her blood disorder, died during the procedure... The consequences would be catastrophic for their family!

Victor Whitmore's eyes blazed with fury. He glared at his assistant. "Find that disgraceful son of mine! Drag him back here! Immediately!"

Alexander was currently speeding toward Rosewood Manor, determination hardening his resolve. He would have Isabella Montgomery tonight. She would finally be his.

He had waited an eternity for this moment. Even though Anthony had already tainted her, Alexander still craved her. He wanted her body. He wanted her vast fortune.

Suddenly, several black sedans screeched in front of his car, cutting him off. Alexander slammed on the brakes, his frown deepening.

Doors flew open. Bodyguards emerged. Their leader was the Whitmore family's head of security, Theodore Winslow. Theodore marched to Alexander's window.
