Chapter 84
Fine. Just this one time. She would ensure there would be no further opportunities after this.
Nathaniel and Oliver exchanged triumphant smiles. A sweet victory indeed!
Not only had he successfully given her his token of affection, but he had also secured a second date. Perfect!
Isabella was driven home with the necklace still resting around her neck. She had completely forgotten it was there.
Meanwhile, Victoria did not return home after leaving Guci Tower. Instead, she drove directly to SilverPeak Entertainment.
SilverPeak Entertainment was the world's largest entertainment conglomerate. It boasted an immense roster of A-list celebrities, singers, and supermodels. Every major artist was signed to SilverPeak or one of its subsidiaries. The company possessed the finest resources and the most talented personnel, including its PR general manager, Genevieve Beaumont.
Genevieve was a master of public relations and crisis management. She once transformed a notoriously rude celebrity, famous for her arrogance and constant boasting, into a beloved 'Savage Queen' adored by the public.
Another case involved a clumsy model with no runway skills. Genevieve rebranded her as the 'Aces Holder'. The model learned to weaponize her tears, manipulating public sympathy. Despite some backlash, her global fame skyrocketed.
“Only Genevieve can handle this. Give this to her,” instructed Gabriella, handing a meticulously wrapped gift to Victoria.
“Understood.” Victoria took the present and entered the lavish office.
“Victoria! This is a surprise. I thought you avoided this place unless absolutely necessary?” Genevieve greeted her with a sharp, amused laugh. Her presence was clearly unexpected.
The leaked nude photos had devastated Victoria's career. She lost ninety percent of her endorsements. The remaining contracts were with insignificant, low-tier brands.
Genevieve had advised a period of silence and strategic work to rebuild her image.
“I did listen to you. I attended the Guci Magazine shoot today. It was a disaster,” Victoria stated, placing the expensive gift on the desk.
It was an enormous red lipstick box containing 999 tubes of high-end lipstick. The collection included numerous top brands, some valued in the six figures.
“What’s this for?” Genevieve glanced at the box, her interest piqued.
“Victoria gave her all at the shoot. It was going perfectly. Then Isabella conspired with thieves to sabotage her photos,” Gabriella explained bitterly.
She continued, “Once this issue of Guci is published, Isabella will undoubtedly crush Victoria on her climb to the top.”
Toppling the Top Model would cement Isabella's status. She would no longer be an unknown.
Genevieve massaged her temples. She found it hard to believe one woman could be so formidably unbearable.
A calculated idea formed. “It’s just a photo. Not the end of the world,” she said calmly. “Gabriella, take Victoria to the photographers. Get several red costumes. Pose her exactly like Isabella during her shoot.”
“You mean…” Victoria tilted her head, a spark of understanding in her eyes.
“What do you think will happen if your photos are released tonight, right before the Guci magazine publication?” Genevieve’s voice was cool and precise.
Victoria understood immediately.
Releasing the photos first would steal Isabella's spotlight. When Isabella's photos were published, she would be accused of copying and plagiarism.
A brilliant strategy.
Victoria thanked her profusely. “You are the greatest PR genius! I must go now. I’ll make sure my photos are far superior to hers!”
“Go.”
Genevieve watched them leave. Her eyes were complex and unreadable, a swirling mix of countless colors and intentions.
She's a clever one. Victoria is utterly outmatched. It seems I will have to personally deal with this and bring her into the company.
Using her own methods, she located Isabella's number and placed a call.
Chapter 85
Isabella stretched out on her sofa the moment she stepped inside.
She craved quiet, but Harrison wouldn't stop pestering her with endless questions.
“Boss, when are you returning? I genuinely can’t manage the Diamond Company alone.”
“Your management team keeps calling me,” added Maxwell, the man with silver-bleached hair.
“They insist I watch over you while our debut is still on hold.
Do you have any idea how terrified I was hearing about the Ferris wheel incident today? It nearly stopped my heart.”
Harrison shot him an annoyed glare.
“Even if the boss decides to return, she should come with me first.
I’m the one who helped clean up her scandal. Wait your turn!”
“Oh, please. Know your role. That scandal began because of you. You’ve hardly made up for it!” Maxwell retorted.
Just as tensions were about to boil over, Anthony’s voice cut through.
“She’s staying here for at least three months. You both might as well accept it.”
Three months.
Harrison threw his hands up in frustration.
Handling Isabella’s past affairs while keeping up with company targets was draining.
Maxwell was equally pained.
Three months of undercover bodyguard duty—watching from the shadows, unable to openly defend her if danger struck.
He’d rather face a fight head-on if given the chance.
“Boss Montgomery, if you just want Victoria dealt with, say the word.
I’ll handle it clean. No traces left behind.”
“It’s not that simple,” Isabella said, her eyes slowly opening.
“Stay out of it. Focus on your own tasks.”
Theodore and the others still held affection for Victoria, despite her recent scandal.
Facts could be fixed, but people’s perceptions were harder to change.
Suddenly, Isabella’s phone rang.
Maxwell and Harrison exchanged curious glances.
Very few people had this number. Who could it be?
“Isabella, this is Genevieve Beaumont, PR General Manager at SilverPeak Entertainment.
I see great potential in you.
Come to my office sometime—let’s discuss signing you with us,” came the proud, commanding voice over the line.
Everyone knew Genevieve Beaumont.
Aspiring stars dreamed of her attention.
She had never personally signed a celebrity before. This was an exception, and she expected gratitude.
“SilverPeak Entertainment? Genevieve Beaumont? Who?” Isabella squinted, trying to place the name.
She glanced at the others in the room.
Each word stung. Genevieve’s face flushed with suppressed fury.
How could she not know SilverPeak or my name?
“We’re the top entertainment firm. Most A-list celebrities are with us.
Ninety percent of Best Actress awards go to our artists,” Genevieve explained, chin held high.
“You’re lucky I noticed you. I can turn you into a star.”
“Then I suppose I’ll be the ten percent,” Isabella replied flatly.
Genevieve’s irritation flared. “Isabella, don’t overestimate yourself! Money isn’t everything.
This industry isn’t easy to navigate. You need a professional team to reach the top.”
