Victoria's cheeks flushed pink as she nestled affectionately against Alexander's arm. "Don't worry, Mother, Father. Alexander will take perfect care of me, won't you, darling?"

She lifted her sparkling gaze to meet his, only to freeze at the glacial coldness in his eyes.

"A-Alexander?"

"What I'm announcing is the termination of our engagement."

Silence.

"What?"

Victoria turned to stone. Eleanor, William, and Alexander's parents all gasped in shock.

Evelyn maintained her composure, though surprise flickered through her.

Was Alexander actually calling off his engagement to Victoria?

This was earth-shattering.

He'd worshipped the two-faced Victoria for years, spoiling her beyond reason.

How could he make such a decision now?

"Alexander! Have you lost your mind?" Eleanor shrieked. "Victoria bore your child! How can you discard her?" Her finger jabbed toward Evelyn. "Is this because of her?"

Alexander's brows furrowed in displeasure. "She has nothing to do with this."

His piercing gaze locked onto Victoria. "Remember what I told you that morning?"

Victoria's face stiffened as she recalled his words: 'If I discover you were involved in Ethan's kidnapping, our engagement ends immediately.'

Her complexion drained to sheet-white. "Alexander, you still doubt me? Ethan is my son! Why would I conspire with outsiders to kidnap him? What possible motive could I have?"

"To frame Evelyn," Alexander stated calmly. "To make me despise her."

Victoria recoiled. "Alexander, I-I never! You can't believe Dominic's lies over me! After all these years together—"

"This has nothing to do with Dominic's testimony."

Victoria blinked in confusion. Then how...?

"I found the driver from that day."

Victoria's mouth went dry. The driver!

She'd completely forgotten about him!

Seeing her reaction, Alexander's expression darkened with disappointment. "He confessed everything. How he drugged Evelyn, returned her to the dormitory, then delivered Ethan to Dominic per your instructions. Everything unfolded exactly as you planned."

"No! The driver's lying! I would never—" Victoria babbled in panic.

Alexander's eyes turned arctic. "Still denying it? Shall I bring him here to repeat his confession to your face?"

"Bring him! I'll never believe Victoria would do such things! This is all Evelyn's fabrication!" Eleanor declared.

Alexander smiled coldly and reached for his phone. "Very well. I'll summon him immediately."

"Alexander!" Victoria suddenly cried, tears streaming. "I only did it because I love you too much! I couldn't bear seeing Evelyn cling to you! I lost my head for a moment—please forgive me!"

To everyone's shock, Victoria had confessed.

Eleanor and William gaped at their weeping daughter.

"Alexander, I was wrong! Please don't end our engagement! I beg you!" Victoria sobbed at his feet.
