Chapter 361

What?

Victoria stood frozen in shock as Ethan's words echoed in her ears.

That little brat surviving was bad enough, but did he just say he witnessed her pushing Vivian down the slope?

The rain hammered against the windows, but its fury paled compared to the storm brewing in Alexander's piercing gaze.

When Alexander rose to his feet, Victoria felt her blood turn to ice. His expression was colder than the winter winds outside.

"Alexander, it's not true! Ethan misunderstood!" Victoria's voice trembled as she clutched at his sleeve. "Vivian tried to push me first - she slipped by accident! I'm innocent!"

"Victoria, calm down. Of course I believe you." Eleanor Kingsley patted her daughter's shoulder soothingly before turning to Ethan.

"Sweetheart, let Grandma check if you're hurt. That wicked woman would harm even a child! Tell Grandma exactly what happened."

Ethan's thick brows furrowed in displeasure. "Vivian's good," he stated firmly, his small hands balling into fists. Then he looked up at his father with pleading eyes. "Daddy, we have to save Vivian now."

Alexander's glacial stare burned into Victoria. The fury in his eyes could have melted steel.

Then he turned sharply, following Ethan into the storm. Father and son moved with identical determination, both consumed by worry for Vivian.

How was this happening?

Why was that brat still alive?

Victoria's mind reeled. Trapped by Eleanor's presence, she couldn't slip away to investigate.

She could only seethe silently, praying that Vivian's body lay broken at the bottom of the ravine.

Hours passed. Alexander and Ethan reached the spot where Evelyn had fallen, but found no trace of her.

"Daddy, your phone."

Alexander looked down to see Ethan's small face set in grim determination. The boy's eyes mirrored his own fear.

Without hesitation, Alexander handed over his phone.

Ethan's chubby fingers flew across the screen with surprising skill. Within moments, a pulsing red dot appeared on the GPS display.

Less than thirty feet away!

Alexander's breath caught when he saw hope light up Ethan's previously somber face. "Is that Vivian's location?"

Ethan nodded vigorously, already moving toward the signal without hesitation.

"Wait here. I'll go." Alexander tried to take back the phone.

Ethan gripped his father's hand with unexpected strength. "I'm coming too."

The resolve in those young eyes startled Alexander. He didn't argue as they carefully descended the slippery slope.

At the bottom, they found a small clearing near a stream.

Ethan spotted something glinting among the wet grass as they followed the signal.

He crouched down and picked up a delicate crystal bracelet.

"Vivian...!"

"Is that hers?" Alexander recognized the jewelry immediately. He'd noticed it on Evelyn's wrist just days before.
