Chapter 446

Did Margaret reveal Evelyn's true identity to Eleanor?

Probably not.

Evelyn wouldn't create additional complications for herself at this critical juncture.

As Vivian contemplated this, she reached for her phone.

"Miss Prescott, this is Eleanor Kingsley. Would you be able to come to our estate now? Ethan can't sleep and keeps asking for you."

Understanding the reason, Vivian agreed immediately. "I'll be there shortly."

"That's wonderful." Eleanor's voice carried unmistakable delight.

Perhaps seeing Vivian's face would bring comfort to both her and William.

After ending the call, Vivian ate a quick meal before departing.

Sebastian sat motionless, swirling red wine in his crystal glass. His piercing gaze remained fixed on some distant point.

"Vivian, he's not the noble man you imagine. He doesn't deserve your compassion."

Approximately twenty minutes later, Vivian arrived at Kingsley Manor.

Eleanor and William greeted her with open arms.

When Ethan spotted Vivian, his youthful face lit up with pure, unadulterated joy.

Vivian sang a soothing lullaby until the boy drifted into peaceful slumber.

Gazing at Ethan's angelic sleeping face, Vivian leaned down to place a tender kiss on his forehead.

'Ethan, I wonder if you'll still call me Mommy after learning what I must do.'

Tears pricked at her eyes as an inexplicable pain gripped her heart.

Suddenly, Vivian noticed movement in the doorway. Eleanor stood there, watching with gentle affection.

After carefully tucking Ethan in, Vivian stepped out.

Eleanor looked at her expectantly. "Miss Prescott, you're always welcome here anytime."

Vivian offered a bittersweet smile. "I believe this may be my last visit."

"Why?" Eleanor froze, concern flashing in her eyes. "Are you returning to France? Have we done something to offend you?"

"You'll understand soon enough," Vivian replied calmly, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears. "Some events change everything irrevocably. Still, I want to thank you and Mr. Kingsley."

"Thank us?" Eleanor appeared thoroughly confused, but Vivian simply nodded and turned away.

'Yes, thank you.

Thank you for giving me life, even though these thirty years have brought nothing but suffering.'

The following morning.

Vivian arrived early at Blackwood Enterprises. Shareholders holding company stocks waited in the conference room.

After organizing the necessary documents, Vivian strode confidently into the meeting. She took the seat of ultimate authority and declared solemnly, "Alexander Blackwood will no longer serve as CEO. All his responsibilities, business decisions, and positions are hereby transferred to me."

The announcement sent shockwaves through the room. Shareholders exchanged stunned glances.

At that precise moment, the conference room doors burst open. The man supposedly investigating in France now stood before them, his unexpected presence freezing everyone in place.
