Chapter 452

Alexander had never loved her. Not even for a single moment.

When her deception about being the little girl from their past was revealed, she became nothing to Alexander. Not even a stranger, despite sharing a child together.

"You seem to anticipate what's coming," Alexander stated icily. His towering frame advanced toward her, his dominating presence making her tremble.

Victoria shook her head with feigned innocence. "Alexander, I don't understand what you mean."

She forced tears to gather in her eyes, crafting the perfect picture of victimhood.

"Alexander, for the sake of our past and for Ethan's future, please get me out of here. I was framed—"

A cold chuckle cut her off.

"Do you know why you're still breathing?" he suddenly asked.

Victoria stared dumbly at the man whose terrifying aura intensified with every passing second.

"Because I've been waiting for Evelyn's decision."

Victoria's eyes widened in shock, her pulse racing with terror.

So he knew. Alexander knew Vivian was Evelyn and Evelyn was Vivian!

He called her 'Eve' with such tenderness. His eyes softened at the mere mention of her name. His love for Evelyn was undeniable.

"Eve told me she despises me. Hates me for everything I've done to her. Hates how I believed your lies and made her endure pain worse than death," he said, taking another step forward. His overwhelming presence forced Victoria to retreat until her back hit the cold cell wall.

Alexander's hand shot out, gripping her throat.

He lifted her effortlessly, his narrowed eyes burning with lethal intent.

Victoria gasped for air, her toes barely scraping the floor. Her face flushed crimson as panic set in. "A-Alexander... please... let me go..."

"Let you go? After everything?"

His fingers tightened, the murderous glint in his eyes growing darker.

"Do you know I fell for Evelyn the moment I saw her at university? If you hadn't appeared, claiming to be the girl from my past, I would never have treated her so cruelly!"

"Because of that damned promise, I let you hurt the woman I love without restraint. Because of you, I rejected my own child as illegitimate. But the truth is—you're nothing. Not the girl from my past, not the woman I love!"

Alexander's lips pressed into a thin line, his expression softening slightly.

"Evelyn has always been the one. She's the little girl I met at Pinecrest Heights all those years ago."

Victoria's eyes bulged with realization.

'He knows everything!'

He'd even discovered Evelyn was the girl from the beach!

Just as suffocation threatened to claim her, Alexander released his grip.

She collapsed to the floor, coughing violently, her body curling in pain.

Feeling his murderous gaze still upon her, she crawled to his feet. "Alexander... cough... I was wrong... Please... don't kill me... I don't... I don't want to die... cough... I-I can help make Evelyn forgive you... If you just—"

Alexander looked down at her with disdain. "If you think I'd believe another word from you, you're even more foolish than I thought."

"N-No, Alexander! It's true!" Victoria clutched at his trousers desperately. "The truth is... Evelyn's child with you... it's still alive."
