Chapter 511

Horizon Media's film crew was struggling through a difficult shoot.

With limited funding, the production values were noticeably low. The working conditions were far from ideal.

Xavier Delmont stood by the water tank. Crew members bustled around the set, focused on their tasks. Harsh studio lights created blinding glare, making faces indistinguishable. The air buzzed with hushed conversations.

"Ms. Sinclair, watch your step."

Tristan Whitmore moved to assist her. Evelyn Sinclair smiled but gently brushed his arm away as she walked forward.

She surveyed the chaotic set. No one noticed her arrival - too preoccupied with their own responsibilities.

This clearly displeased Tristan. He cleared his throat loudly twice. Evelyn shot him a warning look before forcing a polite smile.

"Keep it down. We don't want unnecessary attention."

Tristan froze, suddenly realizing his mistake.

Evelyn scanned the area before approaching the director.

The director sat glumly beside idle equipment, his expression stormy.

"Hey, who let you-"

An assistant whispered in his ear. The director looked up, his irritation vanishing when he recognized Evelyn.

Anyone in entertainment knew Evelyn Sinclair.

Her fame eclipsed most actresses, and her influence was unparalleled.

She didn't chase opportunities - she created them.

The director jumped up. "Ms. Sinclair!"

This was like finding a golden goose!

Since Horizon Media financed this film, he couldn't refuse their demands. Even if the talent had zero acting ability.

Evelyn approached gracefully. "Apologies for the interruption."

The director's expression darkened when he spotted Xavier behind her.

"Xavier! Where have you been? Do you realize hundreds of people are waiting on you?"

Xavier glanced at Evelyn with arrogant excitement.

"Sorry about that. Had some...important business."

The director fumed. This B-list actor already acted like a diva!

Before he could unleash his anger, Evelyn interjected clearly:

"Director, Xavier mentioned he's willing to make up tonight's scenes. However long it takes."

Silence fell across the set.

Since when did Xavier show such dedication?

The director's anger dissipated. "Then let's begin."

Xavier looked between Evelyn and the director, confused. Evelyn smiled. "Consider this an opportunity to prove yourself. You wouldn't refuse, would you?"

"Of course not!"

Xavier happily went for makeup. If this wealthy socialite wanted him to perform, he'd dazzle her with his looks and talent!

Evelyn took the seat beside the director, who suddenly felt uneasy.

He'd just realized who Xavier resembled. And if Evelyn brought him here...did that mean...?

Xavier moved quickly before the cameras, maximizing his physical advantages.

He played a domineering CEO - the second male lead who becomes obsessed after being rejected.

Evelyn listened to the director explain the scene with growing discomfort. It reminded her painfully of Nathan.

In this scene, Xavier's character begs the female lead for reconciliation. When refused, he threatens to jump into the ocean.

Xavier delivered his lines and plunged into the water without hesitation.

The director muttered, "Not bad. Let's do it again!"

The night was cold, the water freezing.

Xavier's patience visibly wore thin. He wasn't a serious actor, after all.

The director noticed but couldn't push harder with Evelyn present. He prepared to call it a wrap when-

Evelyn spoke after a long pause. "He's not in the right headspace. Have him jump until he finds it."
