Chapter 621
No one had a clue what transpired between Tristan and Vivian.
Evelyn reached the hotel and dove straight into work.
The afternoon stretched long, but urgent matters demanded her attention. Conference calls consumed her time.
Two hours later, she finally hung up and stretched her stiff back.
Room service crossed her mind, but before she could dial, the doorbell chimed.
Simultaneously, her phone buzzed. Nathan's name flashed on the screen.
She hesitated before answering. "Mr. Blackwood, is there a problem?"
"Come downstairs." His voice was ice, devoid of emotion. "Now."
Her stomach dropped. She ended the call and rushed to the elevator.
Nathan had to be referring to the floor where the others were staying.
The moment the elevator doors opened, chaos greeted her. The hallway was packed, murmurs thick in the air. A woman's sobs cut through the noise.
Confusion twisted inside her. What the hell happened?
The crowd parted as she approached, whispers trailing in her wake.
Nathan stood rigid by the doorway, his expression stormy. The sheer intensity of his presence kept everyone at a distance.
His eyes locked onto hers. With a slight tilt of his head, he motioned for her to enter.
Her pulse spiked. Something was very wrong.
Inside, Dominic and the directors wore grim expressions. Dominic’s face was ashen, while the others huddled in tense discussion.
The crying grew louder.
"Ms. Sinclair?" Dominic stood abruptly, surprise flickering across his face.
Evelyn barely acknowledged him. Her gaze swept the room—and then she froze.
Holy shit.
Xavier Delmont and Seraphina Devereux.
Seraphina sat on the bed, her silk pajamas torn, her body marked with angry red scratches. She clutched the sheets, tears streaming down her face.
But the real shock was Xavier.
He was on the floor, shirtless, wearing only boxers. His face burned with humiliation and barely contained fury.
The scene screamed disaster.
Her mind raced. My golden goose just imploded.
Dominic stepped beside her, voice low. "Exactly what it looks like. Xavier forced his way into her room. She fought back, screamed. People heard."
Evelyn exhaled sharply. This would be a PR nightmare.
One of the directors muttered, "One of them has to go. We can't keep both."
Another nodded. "If this leaks, we're screwed."
"Xavier's under Kingsley’s agency," someone pointed out. "But if Seraphina presses charges..."
Evelyn closed her eyes. When she opened them, her voice was steel.
"Both of you—get dressed. Now."
