Chapter 624

Xavier let out a piercing scream, writhing in agony.

Nathan stood motionless, his expression unreadable as he dusted off his hands with deliberate precision. He pulled out a handkerchief, wiping his fingers clean before tossing it aside with disdain.

His gaze was icy, devoid of any warmth.

The sight of Xavier’s hands had disgusted him.

Once Evelyn left, the remaining guests exchanged uneasy glances.

No one dared to speak, but satisfaction flickered in their eyes. Xavier had gotten exactly what he deserved.

They assumed Nathan was avenging Seraphina, which only solidified their loyalty.

Dominic stepped forward, offering Xavier a polite but hollow consolation.

One by one, the guests departed.

Nathan spared Xavier—still curled on the floor—a final glance before turning away with a cold scoff.

Pathetic. To think I ever considered him competition.

Just as Nathan was about to leave, Seraphina called out to him.

"Mr. Blackwood—"

She hesitated, her earlier vulnerability gone. Now, she stood composed, almost amused.

Xavier gaped at them, realization dawning.

They know each other?

Nathan’s expression remained indifferent, but the faintest hint of approval flickered at the corner of his lips.

"Well done."

His tone was clipped. "Tell Harrison what resources you need."

With that, he strode out without another word.

Xavier’s eyes widened in shock.

Seraphina, however, laughed softly.

With Nathan’s backing, her status in the industry was now untouchable.

All she had done was shoo away a nuisance bothering Evelyn.

Compared to the others who had shamelessly thrown themselves at Nathan and been humiliated, she had come out on top.

Her gaze flicked to Xavier, still sprawled on the floor.

A slow, mocking smile curved her lips.

"Poor boy. You’re in over your head."

She tilted her head, voice dripping with condescension. "Someone like Ms. Sinclair? She’s favored by fate itself. You were never worthy of standing near her."

Xavier’s breath hitched.

Evelyn Sinclair.

This had all been a setup.

Fury burned through him.

Back in her room, Evelyn exhaled sharply.

Xavier had been a disappointment. A golden opportunity—wasted by his own stupidity.

Her phone buzzed.

Bennett’s voice came through. "Ms. Sinclair, there’s an urgent meeting. Should I arrange a replacement?"

Evelyn didn’t hesitate. "I’ll handle it myself."

She couldn’t stay in this show any longer.

In less than two days, the original cast had been completely upended.

The entertainment industry is exhausting.

She was done.

The moment Evelyn left, Nathan received the update.

His tense shoulders relaxed slightly.

"Harrison."

His assistant straightened. "Back to the office, sir?"

Nathan adjusted his suit jacket, the epitome of cold elegance.

"Yes."

Harrison nearly sighed in relief.

Finally.

While this trip hadn’t been disastrous, the emotional toll on him had been immense.

If not for the obscene salary Nathan paid, he would’ve quit days ago.

Just before they left the hotel, Nathan paused.

"One more thing."

His voice was chillingly calm. "Make sure that counterfeit gets a new face."

The mere memory of Xavier’s imitation was revolting.

"If he refuses, disfigure him instead."

Nathan’s tone left no room for argument. He never wanted to see that imposter again.

Harrison nodded.

"Understood."
