"Forget her," Evelyn said.

His jaw clenched. "No. We’re breaking them up."

Evelyn groaned. "Men only want what they can’t have."

"I’m not helping."

Lucas pulled out his wallet. "Take every card."

Evelyn hesitated. Then she snatched the black Amex. "Not for the money. For your happiness."

Lucas’s lips twitched. "Thanks, sis."
