Chapter 694

The new year arrived with Alexander Sterling being the first to return to work. He'd gone into the office two days early to prepare everything.

Evelyn Sinclair declined his invitation to commute together, claiming she needed to accompany Natalie Beaumont abroad to find Adrian Prescott.

After two days of sightseeing with Lucas, the Sterling siblings followed Natalie to Montecito.

Adrian had mysteriously vanished on New Year's Eve without answering calls. Strangely, Natalie hadn't reached out either - and neither had he.

Only then did Natalie begin suspecting Adrian was hiding something.

When Evelyn and Natalie decided to track him down, Lucas practically vibrated with excitement, insisting on joining them. No one could dissuade him.

Evelyn saw right through Lucas's motives, but fortunately, Natalie wasn't in the mood to argue. The trio boarded a plane to Montecito.

Upon landing, Natalie's expression darkened by the minute. She knew Adrian's hotel and could contact his friends anytime.

Yet she didn't want to alert him.

At the hotel entrance, Lucas bounced with unnatural energy. "Want me to ask for his room number?"

Evelyn studied Natalie. "Or we could call to ask his location?"

Natalie hesitated briefly.

"No need. I booked him a year-long suite here. He wouldn't stay anywhere else." With Adrian's spending habits, more luxurious accommodations were beyond his means.

After flashing her membership card, Natalie led the Sterlings to the elevator.

Evelyn and Lucas exchanged glances. Honestly, Evelyn felt a thrill of anticipation.

Something told her this wouldn't be simple.

The scene felt like they were about to catch someone cheating!

Reaching the suite, Natalie composed herself and rang the bell.

After a dozen consecutive rings, the occupant finally grew impatient.

A stunning foreign woman in a silk nightgown answered, sleepy-eyed and irritated.

"Who is it? I said no service—"

Red marks dotted her exposed neck.

Evelyn, Natalie, and Lucas stood frozen at the door.

Even mentally prepared, the sight shocked them.

The three were rather innocent, after all...

The woman frowned at Evelyn and Natalie, but her eyes sparkled seeing Lucas.

Lucas's face darkened instantly, disgusted.

Then came that familiar, groggy, awful voice from inside. "Who is it? Come back already. Do you want to perform or not?"

Adrian!

The woman turned her head. "Did you invite others to join us?"

In a daze, Lucas kicked the door open with a vicious expression.

"Get out!"

His shout startled those inside.

Someone scrambled to dress, sounding nervous.

"Who's there—?"

When Adrian appeared and saw the trio, he froze.

His face went pale.

Evelyn was stunned. In their few meetings, Adrian had seemed upright and transparent.

How could he do this while dating Natalie?

She'd been skeptical knocking, but seeing Adrian now forced belief.

Silence thickened the air.

Then a second woman emerged from the bedroom—
