Chapter 938
Evelyn Sinclair gave a composed nod, her gaze steady on them.
"My security team will arrive shortly. Let them through when they come."
Without hesitation, she drove straight through the gates.
The moment Evelyn stepped out of her car, Natalie Beaumont came rushing toward her.
Their eyes met in silent understanding. Before either could speak, blinding headlights suddenly illuminated them from behind.
Evelyn whirled around to face three black SUVs blocking her path.
A dozen stone-faced men in matching tactical gear emerged. Their military precision betrayed their professional training.
Sterling family security.
Then Alexander Sterling exited the lead vehicle, his expression unreadable as he approached.
"Move out."
Natalie seemed momentarily stunned by the show of force but quickly recovered. Having just Evelyn and herself would've been risky. Evelyn hadn't expected Alexander's personal involvement, but rescuing Isabella took priority.
They reached the front door.
Natalie knocked sharply. A middle-aged housekeeper cracked it open slightly. "Who are you looking for?"
"Is Isabella Montgomery here?" Evelyn demanded.
The servant's face paled. Clearly briefed, she stammered, "N-no, she's not—I don't know anyone by that name."
Natalie scoffed.
Patience spent, she shoved the door wider. "Isabella! Are you here?"
The words barely left her lips when Natalie froze. Two hulking bodyguards materialized before them.
Their menacing glares confirmed Sean Donovan's preparations.
But Alexander moved faster. With one powerful kick, he shattered the doorframe, his team flooding in behind him. The house guards blanched at their numbers.
Evelyn strode past the trembling maid. "Where's Sean?" The servant clutched her phone, too terrified to answer.
The air turned glacial.
"Find Isabella," Evelyn ordered Natalie. "She has to be here."
Natalie advanced—only for a guard to block her path. Seeing their disadvantage, he lunged to grab her.
Evelyn struck first.
Her lightning kick sent him crashing into a console table. Crystal shattered.
The second guard charged, but Alexander intercepted him. Three precise strikes had the man stumbling backward, toppling a lamp.
Sterling security swarmed them, overwhelming the outnumbered guards within seconds.
As others fanned out to search, the maid frantically dialed her phone.
Evelyn ignored her. Then Natalie's cry pierced the chaos.
"Evelyn! She's here!"
They rushed to a locked bedroom. The door wouldn't budge.
"I heard Isabella!" Natalie pressed her ear to the wood. "She's inside!"
Their combined efforts proved useless against the reinforced frame.
Evelyn turned toward the cowering maid—just as Sean's voice crackled through the phone still clutched in her shaking hands.
"Helen? Has Ms. Montgomery eaten yet?"
