Chapter 975

Dominic Kingsley shook his head, his gaze filled with pity as he studied Harrison Blake.

"Your career was skyrocketing back then. Every paparazzi in the city wanted your picture."

"And then you got caught hitting your ex-wife."

The aftermath was brutal. Domestic violence allegations stuck to his name like glue. The media didn’t care about the truth—only the scandal.

Harrison let out a bitter laugh.

"Thank God my manager didn’t drop me. Otherwise, I’d be starving right now."

His manager was sharp, well-connected, and relentless. He fought tooth and nail to keep Harrison afloat, convinced he still had a shot in the industry.

Lucas Sterling stayed silent, lips pressed tight. Evelyn Sinclair, however, couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy.

The truth behind the "abuser" label was tragic.

"How’s your mother now?" she asked.

Harrison’s lips curved slightly. "She’s fine. I sent her back to our hometown. She doesn’t even know how bad things are for me."

Evelyn exhaled, turning to Dominic. "So, do you have a plan?"

Dominic hesitated.

This wasn’t easy.

Rebuilding the reputation of a scandal-ridden actor labeled as an abuser? Expensive. Difficult. But Evelyn had asked, so refusal wasn’t an option.

"There’s a way. But it’ll take time."

"How long?"

"At least six months."

Evelyn frowned.

The endorsement deal was supposed to launch in three. Six months was too long.

Lucas chuckled. "Six months is generous. We have to reshape public perception slowly. Make it organic—otherwise, it’ll look staged. People won’t believe it."

His words were blunt. Harrison’s jaw tightened, but he didn’t argue. Lucas wasn’t wrong. The internet wasn’t easily fooled.

Evelyn bit her lip. "Where do we start?"

Dominic thought for a moment.

"We’ll have PR draft multiple strategies, then pick the strongest. The goal is simple—control the narrative. Once we do that, rehabilitating Harrison’s image is just a matter of time."

Lucas nodded.

"I remember you started in film. A few directors still respect your work. Let’s see if they have any roles for you. Prove your talent first—win the audience back with your skills."

He glanced at Dominic. "You’ll handle it?"

Dominic smirked. "Obviously."

Harrison’s head snapped up, shock flashing across his face.

Lucas was offering him a lifeline. A chance to act again.

I can start over.

He stood abruptly, emotion choking his voice.

"Thank you—"

Thank you, Sterling Enterprises, for not discarding me like trash. For giving me a second chance.

Lucas waved him off. "Don’t thank me. Sterling Enterprises is family."

And family doesn’t suffer.

Dominic rolled his eyes. Dramatic as always.

Evelyn smiled, relieved.

"Then I’ll leave him to you two. I’ll adjust my schedule as much as possible. He’ll contact you directly from now on."

She grabbed her bag. "Let’s go. Lunch is on me." She nodded at Harrison.

Dominic and Lucas exchanged looks.

What about us? Do we not eat?
