Chapter 997

Evelyn laughed.

"Offensive? I can be much more offensive than that. Do you really think your family would sacrifice everything for you? Wake up. Your family's assets were legally notarized by their lawyers before you even returned. You own nothing. If you were truly as brilliant as you claim, why hasn't a single member of your family offered you a position in the company?"

Cassandra's entire body trembled violently. Her once-alluring face twisted into something ugly—doubt creeping in.

Slowly, the realization settled in.

She had bragged about her impressive résumé countless times, only for her father to swiftly change the subject.

Her siblings never discussed business matters with her.

They all just kept telling her to "enjoy life" with saccharine smiles.

Cassandra had truly believed she was the family's treasured princess. But now...

Evelyn smirked, satisfied by the shift in Cassandra's expression.

Why pity a delusional woman who refused to see reality?

Isabella scoffed, impatient.

"What's the point of talking? Ms. Blake, since you clearly need a reality check, I’ll give you a gift—consider it punishment for spreading lies about me behind my back." Evelyn was direct.

She had no patience for repeated nonsense. If Cassandra had just stayed quiet, Evelyn might have let it slide. But since she insisted on stirring trouble, she deserved to suffer the consequences.

Evelyn’s lips curved into a cold smile as she turned away, her gaze sharp and unreadable.

Her social media was probably exploding right now. She wondered if Cassandra could handle the fallout.

Evelyn and Isabella headed to the dressing room to change.

Isabella couldn’t resist asking, "What exactly did you do?"

Evelyn smirked. "Check your phone."

Isabella pulled out her device.

A video posted by Evelyn was already trending. The footage was crystal clear—Cassandra’s voice rang out, venomous and smug.

"Evelyn brought you here, which means she still trusts you. Mr. Blake, you need to step up your game. During your contract, leak scandals to the press. Get caught in compromising photos—or better yet, trash Sterling Enterprises in private chats. Ruin their reputation. That’ll destroy them!"

A pause. Then Harrison’s voice, disgusted.

"Sterling Enterprises won’t be destroyed. If anything, I’ll be the one ruined. Do you think I’m an idiot?"

Cassandra scoffed. "Of course, I’ll compensate you. I’m the one who got you this contract anyway. Once it’s done, I’ll pay you enough to retire comfortably. Face it—your career in this industry is over."

Isabella’s expression darkened as she finished watching.

"What the hell is wrong with her?"

A verbal lashing was too light. She should’ve punched Cassandra while she had the chance.

Evelyn’s smile was icy. "Let’s see if her family still protects her after this."

Isabella snorted. "Please. That family only cares about profit. Did she really think her father loved her?"

Delusional.

Evelyn arched a brow. "Then let her pray for a miracle."

This video was originally meant to clear Harrison’s name later.

But releasing it now worked just as well—especially when someone kept trying to sabotage her.

Within minutes, the video went viral.

Evelyn’s followers reposted it en masse.

Anyone with half a brain knew exactly what was happening—Evelyn was publicly exposing Cassandra Blake.
