Chapter 203

Evelyn could feel the dangerous energy radiating from Dominic's powerful frame. Yet she also remembered how tender he could be when they were alone.

He wasn't threatening - just insatiable.

Her pulse quickened as she recalled the impressive bulge in his trousers last night. Just the memory made her mouth go dry.

"You... should wait outside. I can shower alone."

After their multiple passionate encounters, Evelyn couldn't meet his gaze without blushing.

That shabby old house had transformed last night, filled with heat and passion instead of dust and decay.

Dominic's hungry kisses and ragged breathing had drowned out the musty smells. She'd surrendered completely, melting into his embrace.

Then came the car ride this morning...

Evelyn was convinced Dominic was some kind of incubus. Day or night, he always wanted her.

Hadn't they done it enough times already?

Thankfully, darkness had hidden her flushed face last night. But morning light revealed everything - including their early session.

She was shocked at how quickly she'd adapted. From untouched to thoroughly claimed in such a short time...

"Still shy? I've explored every inch of you." Dominic's deep voice rumbled as he captured her lips again, teasing them open with his tongue.

Evelyn's weak protest only seemed to encourage him. Her half-hearted resistance looked more like an invitation.

Soon, she was thoroughly ravished once more.

Afterwards, Evelyn could barely stand. Her legs felt like jelly.

When they finally emerged, she deliberately kept her distance, pretending they were just employer and employee. She needed to remember that - before he literally loved her to death.

Sebastian watched as his boss and Evelyn exited separately. Dominic looked impeccable as always in his tailored suit.

Evelyn wore faded jeans and a simple blouse, clutching her laptop. The picture of professionalism.

No one would guess what they'd been doing.

The other colleagues noticed their arrival too.

One woman approached Evelyn with genuine concern. "We saved you some breakfast - oatmeal and buns."

She'd definitely noticed Dominic carrying a food bag upstairs earlier.

Evelyn hesitated. "Thank you, but I've... already eaten."

Dominic had force-fed her a nutritious meal upstairs. She couldn't stomach more food now.

Besides, everyone had seen him visit her room. Lying would only raise suspicions.

"Miss Evelyn!" Isabella came running, hugging Evelyn's legs with her chubby arms.

Evelyn had known the twins were here, but Dominic had kept her occupied. She set down her laptop and knelt to embrace the little girl.

"I missed you..." she whispered, pressing her forehead to Isabella's.

The child misunderstood and planted a wet kiss on Evelyn's cheek instead.

Evelyn smiled, relieved. She didn't want anyone hearing how much she'd missed her boss's children.

Especially since everyone thought she was still married to Maxwell.

In their eyes, it made sense she'd be close with Dominic's kids - he was Maxwell's cousin after all.

Family ties explained everything.

Jason waited patiently before approaching. "Ms. Sinclair claims to be your aunt."

Evelyn turned to see the expensively dressed woman beside him.

Gwendolyn's designer handbag and jewelry outshone even the T Corporation executives.

"Bea?" Gwendolyn smiled brightly.

Evelyn nodded cautiously. "Nice to meet you. I'm Evelyn Sinclair."

She barely knew this aunt who'd married a Japanese man and moved abroad. They'd never spoken.

Her grandfather had mentioned Gwendolyn's recent divorce and return. She'd brought him back to this old house before disappearing.

Oddly, Gwendolyn had arrived with luxury luggage. If she was so wealthy, why abandon her elderly father in this backwater town?
